![]() ![]() The Society’s constitution and rules and regulations were drafted by Maharaj Ji personally. In 1957, Maharaj Ji transferred all of the Dera’s assets to the Radha Soami Satsang Beas Society, a charitable trust. He was able to make modifications to the administrative structure that would successfully transition the company into the rapidly evolving modern world because of his practical grasp of administrative issues. The Dera had expanded by the time Maharaj Ji was named the Satguru, and there were several Satsang locations across India. Charan Singh delegated his succession and guru duties to his initiate and nephew Baba Gurinder Singh. ![]() He was an initiate of Maharaj Sawan Singh, his paternal grandfather, and Maharaj Jagat Singh’s predecessor. He had previously practiced law in Hisar and Sirsa, India, prior to his appointment in 1951. Charan Singh was the Beas Sangat’s guru for over four decades, until his death from heart failure in 1990 at the age of 73.
